ADJOURN e e e e e RESOLUTION NO. 12906 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS LETTING NO.1 PROJECT NO. 06-01 WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted the 25th day of January 2005, fixed a date for a Council Hearing on the following improvements: City-funded improvements proposed within Mn/DOTs TH 7/15/22 Reconstruction Project (S.P. 4308-31, 4308-25, 4302-44 & 4304-51) and allocated per standard Mn/DOT cost- sharing criteria include complete street reconstruction, new roadway construction, trunk and lateral storm sewer and stormwater treatment improvements, trunk and lateral sanitary sewer and services, trunk and lateral watermain and services, grading, gravel base, concrete curb and gutter, concrete median, bituminous base, bituminous surfacing, sidewalk, landscaping, restoration, traffic signals and appurtenances. Proposed improvements to construct the extension of Montana Street south of TH 7/3rd Avenue NW to Kouba Parkway. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUTCHINSON, MINNESOTA: 1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the resolution adopted the 24th day of January 2006. 2. Kent Exner is hereby designated as the Engineer for this improvement. He shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. Adopted by the Council this 7th day of February 2006. Mayor City Administrator ~l(;~) e e e RESOLUTION NO. 12907 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS LETTING NO.1 PROJECT NO. 06-01 WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of: City-funded improvements proposed within Mn/DOT's TH 7/15/22 Reconstruction Project (S.P.4308-31, 4308-25, 4302-44 & 4304-51) and allocated per standard Mn/DOT cost- sharing criteria include complete street reconstruction, new roadway construction, trunk and lateral storm sewer and stormwater treatment improvements, trunk and lateral sanitary sewer and services, trunk and lateral watermain and services, grading, gravel base, concrete curb and gutter, concrete median, bituminous base, bituminous surfacing, sidewalk, landscaping, restoration, traffic signals and appurtenances. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUTCHINSON, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Engineer shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three weeks, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the Commissioner of Transportation for the State of Minnesota, at the office building of the State of Minnesota Department of Transportation, 395 John Ireland Boulevard, Construction Office - Room 120, Mail Stop 650, St. Paul, MN 55155until 9:30 am on Friday, February 24th, 2006, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Cafeteria of the Transportation Building by the Commissioner ofTransportation, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Council at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, March 14th, 2006 in the Council Chambers of the Hutchinson City Center, Hutchinson, Minnesota. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility.
