OLD BUSINESS
A. Ordinance Revisions
95.08 Tobacco Use: Per Chad Czmowski – there was push back on the
smoking issue. This topic is on the next Council agenda. It sounds like it
may be a favorable option to have tobacco use moved to the McLeod
Veterans Memorial park.
B. Park Advisory Board Chair position: A motion made by Chad Czmowski and
seconded by Craig Juhnke to elect Marsha Anderson for Chair. Marsha
accepted the position.
New Business
A. PRCE Master Plan HKGI:
a. Dates: 1/31: Community Open house – approximately 80 people
showed. Hoisington consultants were pleased with the turnout and
there was good feedback from the public.
2/12: Meeting with Staff for feedback. Dolf & Sara working on setting
value on parks to assist with replacement plan.
2/26: Council meeting: Consultants will have survey results, public
feedback to report. Will share plan movement and next steps.
B. Recreation – John McRaith presented for PRCE
C. Facilities – Marv Haugen presented on Burich Arena and the Aquatic Center
Board Member Items
A. Chad: Asking if we could find an hour during the week in the evening to
hold open skating hour(s) rather than just having it during school
hours/weekends. Not feasible at this time due to private organizations
renting the ice each day.
