Hutchinson Police Commission Minutes
The Hutchinson Police Commission held a meeting on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at the Hutchinson Police Station.
Present at the meeting were, Chairperson Matt Beilke, Commissioner Kim Pearson, Commissioner Liz Cheney, and
Chief Tom Gifferson.
Call the Meeting to Order:
Chairperson Matt Beilke called the meeting to order at 4:45 pm.
Approval of Agenda:
Chairperson Beilke asked if there were any changes to the September agenda. Commissioner Pearson made a motion
to approve the agenda, seconded by Commissioner Cheney. The motion carried unanimously.
Approval of Minutes:
Chairperson Beilke asked the Commission to approve the minutes from the August 15 meeting. Commissioner Cheney
made a motion to accept the minutes as written, seconded by Commissioner Pearson. The motion carried
unanimously.

Staffing Issues:
Chief Gifferson provided an update on the policy project.
Chief Gifferson provided an update on the Hospital Security contract.
Chief Gifferson informed the Commission of two IA investigations that are underway.

Adjourn: Commissioner Pearson made a motion, seconded by Chairperson Beilke to adjourn the meeting. The motion
carried unanimously. Time of adjournment 4:51 pm.
The next meeting is Tuesday October 17, 2023 at 4:45 pm.
