Hutchinson Police Commission Minutes
The Hutchinson Police Commission held a meeting on Tuesday April 19, 2022 at the Hutchinson Police Station.
Present at the meeting were, Commissioner Todd Brandel, Commissioner Kim Pearson and Chief Tom Gifferson. Also
present was Liz Cheney.
Call the Meeting to Order:
Commissioner Todd Brandel called the meeting to order at 4:45 pm.
Approval of Agenda:
Commissioner Brandel asked if there were any changes to the April agenda. Commissioner Pearson made a motion
to accept the agenda as written, seconded by Commissioner Brandel. The motion carried unanimously.
Approval of Minutes:
Commissioner Brandel asked the Commission to approve the minutes from the April 8 2022 meeting. Commissioner
Pearson made a motion to accept the minutes as written, seconded by Commissioner Brandel. The motion carried
unanimously.
Staffing Issues:
Chief Gifferson presented the Police Officer Eligibility Roster to the Commission. Chief Gifferson asked the
Commission to add Cory Sederlund to the list. Commissioner Brandel made a motion to add Cory Sederlund to the
roster and to certify the roster seconded by Commissioner Pearson. The motion passed unanimously.

Union Update:
Chief Gifferson also advised the Commission that the patrol staff contract negotiations were ongoing.
Adjourn: Commissioner Brandel made a motion, seconded by Commissioner to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried
unanimously. Time of adjournment 5:03 pm
