Hutchinson Police Commission Minutes
The Hutchinson Police Commission held a meeting on Tuesday December 17, 2019 at the Hutchinson Police Station.
Present at the meeting were Commissioner Kim Pearson, Matt Beilke and Chief Tom Gifferson.
Call the Meeting to Order:
Commissioner Pearson called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.
Approval of Agenda:
Commissioner Pearson asked if there were any changes to the December agenda. Commissioner Beilke made a
motion to accept the agenda as written, seconded by Commissioner Pearson. The motion carried unanimously.
Approval of Minutes:
Commissioner Pearson asked the Commission to approve the minutes from the November 2019 meeting.
Commissioner Pearson made a motion to accept the minutes as written, seconded by Commissioner Beilke. The
motion carried unanimously.
Staffing Issues:
Chief Gifferson updated the commission on the status of Officer Greg Nadeau.
Chief Gifferson updated the commission on the progress of Hospital Security Officer Taylor Stockman.
Chief Gifferson updated the commission on the progress of full-time police officer, Taylor Fenrich.
Chief Gifferson asked the commission to certify the addition of Taylor Severson to the Hospital Security eligibility
roster. Commissioner Pearson made a motion to certify the current Hospital security Eligibility Roster, seconded by
Commissioner Beilke. The motion carried unanimously.
Commission Rules Review:
This item was tabled.
Union Update:
Chief Gifferson informed the Commission that the City is currently in labor negotiations with Minnesota Public
Employees Association.

Adjourn: Commissioner Pearson made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Beilke to adjourn the meeting. Motion
carried unanimously. Time of adjournment 5:10 pm.
