04-18-1973 CCMMINUTES OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 18, 1973
Vice -President Black called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. in the
Conference Room at City Hall. Members present were Aldermen Alrick,
Linder, and Westlund. Also present were Administrative Assistant
Mealey and Chamber of Co;nmeree Manager Fowler and President M. Lueneburg,
and City Attorney Schantzen.
Alderman
Vice President Black announced that the purpose of the meeting
is to consider a resolution supporting S.F. 1881, a bill for an act
authorizing the City to acquire land and develop an off street parking
area in the CBD and to issue bonds therefor, and further to determine
the members who will be able to attend the scheduled hearing at 8:00
a.m. on April 19.
The proposed bill was reviewed and duly considered after which Alderman
Alrick introduced resolution no. 5238 and moved its adoption. Alderman
Westlund seconded the motion and upon being put to vote, the following
voted "aye:" Alderman Alrick, Alderman Westlund, Alderman Black,
Alderman Linder, and the following voted "nay:" None. (text in full)
It was determined that Vice -President Black, and Administrative Assistant
Mealey would attend the hearing along with the Manager and President of
the Chamber of Commerce.
There being no further business before the Council, the meeting was
adjourned at 9:50 a.m.
