02-27-1973 CCM (2)SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL FEBRUARY 27, 1973 Mayor Kost called the meeting to order at 6:55 p.m. Members present were Mayor Kost, Aldermen Linder, Black and Alrick. Absent was Alderman Westlund. Also present was Administrative Assistant Mealey and Merle Gamm, Administrator for ISD 423. Mr. Gamm gave a presentation using a rear -projection machine to indicate proposed school bus and pedestrian traffic areas at North Park adjacent to Grove Street, as well as proposed improvements inherent in the plan. Lighting was also discussed. The projected cost schedule would be $3,300 City and $8,300 ISD 423. Following general discussion, Alderman Black moved that the Council go on record as agreeing with the concept as presented, and further that the question of lighting be referred to the Utilities Superintendent for recommendation. Alderman Alrick seconded the motion and upon vote being taken, all members present voted "aye" and it was declared carried. Discussion followed concerning outfield fencing for Tartan Park. Alderman Black moved that the fencing be authorized as discussed. Alderman Linder seconded the motion and it was carried. The meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
