09-21-2015 POLMHutchinson Police Commission Minutes
The Hutchinson Police Commission held a meeting on Monday September 21, 2015 at the Hutchinson Police Station.
Present at the meeting were Chairperson Todd Brandel, Commissioner Jo Piehl, and Chief Daniel Hatten.
Call the Meeting to Order:
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Todd Brandel at 5:16 p.m.
Approval of Agenda:
Chairperson Brandel asked if there were any changes to the agenda. A motion was made by Commissioner Piehl to
accept the agenda as written, seconded by Chairperson Todd Brandel. The motion carried unanimously.
Approval of Minutes:
Chairperson Brandel asked the Commission to approve the minutes from the August 2015 meeting. Motion was
made by Commissioner Piehl, seconded by Chairperson Todd Brandel to approve the meeting minutes. Motion
carried unanimously.
Staffing Issues:
Chief Hatten informed the Police Commission the two new Part-time Hospital Security Officers Jacob Willers and
Joshua Phillips working on their own.
Chief Hatten informed the Police Commission the Sharelle Parpart was progressing through the Communication
Specialist training without issue.
Chief Hatten informed the Police Commission the testing and interview processes for Police Officer Candidates was
completed with 10 finalists being brought forward for the Commission's consideration.
Chief Hatten requested the Police Commission to certify the list of 10 candidates who successfully completed testing
process. A motion was made by Chairperson Todd Brandel to certify the list of candidates for Communication
Specialist, seconded by Commissioner Piehl. The motion carried unanimously.

Adjourn: Motion was made by Commissioner Piehl, seconded by Chairperson Brandel to adjourn the meeting.
Motion carried unanimously. Time of adjournment 5:48 pm.
