07-20-2015 POLMHutchinson Police Commission Minutes The Hutchinson Police Commission held a meeting on Monday July 20, 2015 at the Hutchinson Police Station. Present at the meeting were Chairperson Todd Brandel, Commissioner Jo Piehl, and Chief Daniel Hatten. Call the Meeting to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Todd Brandel at 5:22 p.m. Approval of Agenda: Chairperson Brandel asked if there were any changes to the agenda. A motion was made by Commissioner Piehl to accept the agenda as written, seconded by Chairperson Brandel. The motion carried unanimously. Approval of Minutes: Chairperson Brandel asked the Commission to approve the minutes from the June 2015 meeting. Motion was made by Commissioner Piehl, seconded by Chairperson Brandel to approve the meeting minutes. Motion carried unanimously. Staffing Issues: Chief Hatten informed the Police Commission the two new Part-time Hospital Security Officers Jacob Willers and Joshua Phillips have just completed their training and would be starting covering shifts as of July 24t" Chief Hatten informed the Police Commission the application process for Police Officer was now closed and the testing of the 63 applicants would begin with a tentative completion date of October 26, 2015. Chief Hatten informed the Police Commission the application process for Communication Specialist was now closed and the testing of the 37 applicants would begin with a tentative completion date of September 28, 2015.
