AGENDA ITEMS - COUNCIL - MAY 11, 1964.
1. Engineering Items
A. Park Dept. Maint. Bldg. and Office. Plans and Specifications
for this building have been prepared. The Park Board has given
their approval. The Board requests that the amount budgeted
be raised from $10,00 to $12,000.
At this time the Council should approve the plans and specifications
and direct the Clerk to call for opening bids.
Date: May 25, 1964 Time: 8:00 P.M. (Moi"' —)
B. Airport - Land Rental
C. Street Dept. Maintenance Program - The annual street maintenance
program has been tentatively set for this year. In addition to
the usual sand sealing and dust coating on many of the streets,
reshaping and laying a cold mat is proposed for several streets.
This requires more work, and more oil than has been necessary
for the dustcoat sand seal type of maintenance. The resulting
surface then lasts longer. The streets t©i be so improved are
generally in the Northeast and Southeast parts of town. The
Council may, if they so wi6h, order the costs of this work to
be assessed. If so, it is necessary to commence proceedings
under C apter 429. The first step would be a resolution ordering
preparation -of a report on improvement.
D, Petitions
E. Building Permits
2. Old Business
Oil for street maintenanee - Bids were received and tabled at
the meeting of April 27, 1964 for the purchase of oil for street
maintenance work. Action should be taken at this time on these
bids.
