Minutes January 21, 1963
The regular meeting of the Hutchinson Planning
Conm;ission was held on Monday, January 21, at 7:30 P.M.
in the City Hall. Dr. Thompson, Gruett, and Engwall
were absent.
The prorosed sale of the city's lots on
Jefferson brought up the subject of relocation
of the bilk oil tanks on the property. Carlson
suggested that the Planning'Oomissiou remind
the City Council of Mr. HaVks l asmo on this sub-
ject, ,Tune 18, 196?.
KMV: page 2, paragraph 2. "pity owned land
(Jefferson) now occupied by tanks. Above ground
storage of flammable liquids should be down street
from tree dam and protected by an earth berm or wall
creating a ponding area equal to 110% of the con-
tents of the tank. The use of such a facility would
be industrial which would place it in the itYiust.rial
zone, possibly near the sewage disposal site.,,
There being no further business, the meeting
was adjourned.
