The regular meeting of the Nutehinson planning Commission was
held on Monday, April 15, at 700 P.M. in the Fire gall. arnett
wax absent.
The Planning Commission members expressed pleasure at the re_
appointmment of Dr. Tkempson as the representative of the Utilities
Commission to t -he planning Cowdssioa.
Psssiile candidates for appointment to the Planning Commission
were discussed.

tion Board. After explanation and dissuasion, three motions were
wade endorsing the proposed program.
1. Carlson moved tkat tke planning Commission reoommend to
the City Council that the playground area on X.E. 5th St. ie nada
more suitable as play area by vacating the temporary driTmoT that
serriocs the house at tke south end of the playground. Dr. The son
seconded. Approved.
2. Dr. Thosmpson moved that the planning Commission reoommmend
to tie City Council that immediate oonsideration be given to aogmmir-
ing an area, equivalent to four city blocks, in tie extreme northeast
area for park and playground, facilities. Torgrinson seconded. Ap-
proved,
3. Torgrimsen moved that the planning Comm is s ion recommend
to tie City Council further exploration of the possibility of trad-
ing lets With gben Dennis to provide better play area on Fifth St.
N.W. Carlson seconded. Approved.

school property.
