Minutes June 171, 1963
The regular meeting of the Hutchinson Planning tomnission
was held Monday, June 17, at 7;30 P.M. in the City Hall. All
members were present.
Mr. Hoel opened the meeting by welcoming Dr. Schafer as
the new member of the group.
MAHS HOUSE-NOVING PERMIT - Hugo Maks appeared to request a per-
mit to move a house from MAnneapoli.s to the lot next to his at
52 - 5th Ave. NW. Dr. Thompson moved that the Planning Coamis-
sion recommend to the City Council approval of this permit, pend-
ing approval of the necessary inspections. Gruett seconded.
Approved.
PETERSON PrffTION TO ANNEX - The petition of Gladys C. and Edwin
Peterson to annex their property at 3rd Ave. NW was discussed.
Carlson moved that the pinnn;ng Commission proceed with the
necessary public hearing for zoning purposes to be set for the
next regular meeting on July 15, with Acoma township also being
notified. Dr. Thompson seconded. Approved.
DROEGES - Tke request of William and Stanley Th oege concerning
the purchase of Lots 1 and 2, Park subdivision, was considered.
Torgrimson moved and Carlson seconded that the Planning Commis-
sion reoonmend to the City Council that the city retain its
property as park, and topsider the purchase of the Droege
property, Approved.
PARK -RECREATION BOARD - Mr. Hoel appointed Carlson, Dr. Schafer,
and Stearns as a c0 mnittee to formulate a possible recommended
change for the onsideration of the Charter Oonrnission. This
change would have to do with the formation of a joint Park -
Recreation board.
ARMORY SITE FOLLOW --UP - The question was asked whether or not
the National Ouard had approved the proposed site for the new
Armory. Capt. Fleming has not yet approved it.
