Zhe regular meeting of the Hutchinson Planning Oommission was
held on Monday, October 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall. Torgrimson
and Dr. Thompson were absent.
The minutes of the meeting of September 16 were read and approved.
PERMIT -'The request of Brunberg, Sorenson and Oleson Oil Co.
for a permit to move three (3) - 14,E gal• oil tanks and a 241X401
steel -covered warehouse - 81 posts to Third Ave. NW was discussed.
Carlson moved that the Planning Commission recommend approval
of this permit to the City Council, according to the terms of the
Zoning Ordinance 245, Section 12 (Industrial District), B, Uses by
Special Permit, no. 18 (p. 17). Dr. Schafer seconded. Approved.
Carlson asked that the Planning Commission bring again to the
attention of the City Council its motion of May 202 1963, recommend-
ing that the Chief of Police be requested to enforce the application
of trailer permits according to Trailer Ordinance 227.
He also questioned whether any progress is being made on the
acquisition of park land in the northeast section of the city.
There was discussion of the need for a new hospital, possibly
in connection with the nursing home - and on ways of promoting
public interest in such an enterprise. The Planning Commission
will seek further information.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
