01-20-1969 PCM cHUTWINSON PLANNING COMMISSION January 20, 1969 The regular meeting of the Hutchinson Planning Commission was called to order by Chairman Clinton Tracy at 7:30 P.M. on Monday, January 20, 1969, in the Council Chambers of City Hall. Members present: Clinton Tracy, Leslie Linder, John Povolny, Ethne Stearns, Dr. Thompson (until 8:00 P.M.), Tom Cone (at 8:10 P.M.); Engineer Priebe. Members absent: Gordon Bublitz, Arne Heil Minutes of the meeting of December 16, 1968, were read and approved. ENGINEER'S RECOMMENDATION ON PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF APARTMENT SITE AND TRAILER PARK WEST OF HIGHWAY 15 AND NORTH OF NORTH HIGH DRIVE; ANNEXATION IMPROVEMENT COSTS AND POLICIES Engineer Priebe presented his recommendations on the above. Discussion. No action taken pending further contact with developers. (Dr. Thompson left at 8:00 P.M.; Tom Cone arrived 8:10 P.M.) SPECIAL PERMITS Motion by Tom Cone, seconded by Leslie Linder, that the Planning Commission recommendstto the City Council that the following applications for Special Permits be approved and permits issued, as recommended by the City Engineer: No. 965 Howard Madsen Sign 35 2nd Ave SW fee paid No. 966 Cliff Moldestad Sign 355 Lake fee paid No. 967 Leo's Electronics Sign 26 Adams S fee paid No. 969 Dr. M. J. Juffer Sign 150 S Main fee paid No. 961 Renco Ind. Inc. Sign Hwy. 15 S fee paid Motion carried. CONTO R MRRS AND COMPREHENSIVE PLAN Engineer Priebe proposed that additional contour maps be ordered from the 1968-1969 budget. Motion by John Povolny, seconded by Torn Cone, that the Planning Commission recommends to the City Council additional contour maps for approximately 520 acres at an estimated cost of $3276.00 as outlined on the map on file in the office of the City Engineer. Motion carried. Engineer Priebe was requested to ask Jim Hawks to attend the March or April Planning Commission meeting to discuss updating of the Comprehensive Plan of the city. Southwest Storm Sewer to be under contract before Building permits are issued; drainage plan. 2. Proposed Kay Street to be graded before utilities installed. 3. Parks and Playgrounds contribution of $910000- 4. Arrangements for payment of escrow for water and sewer. 5. Arrangements for payment of deferred assessments. Motion carried.
