11-15-1971 PCM cMINUTES HUTCHINSON PLANNING COMMISSION MONDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 1971 Chairman Linder called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. Members present were: M. Tudor, J. Kiland, W. Vorpahl, R. Stearns,D. Jensen. Also present were: Administrative Assistant Mealey, Engineer Priebe, Shirley Hjort and Dave Slipy from Micro -Cities. The minutes of the regular meeting of October 18 were approved as presented on motion by W. Vorpahl, -,econd by J. Kiland. As directed by the City Council, Engineer Priebe presented the registered land survey for a portion of Larson's Second Addition abutting lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, Block 1. This is a land locked strip, 73.82 feet wide and has not previously been surveyed, and officially registered. The abutting property owners are now using the property. The maps presented were studied and discussed and no objections were found. J. Kiland then moved that it be recommended that the City Council approve the survey. M. Tudor seconded the motion and it was carried. At 7:45 P.M. Chairman Linder called to order public hearing on the preliminary plat and plan of final plat of Olson's Addition adjacent to Oakland Cemetery on Highway 15 South. One person was present for the hearing. The proposed plat was considered and park and playground contri- bution was discussed. W. Vorpahl moved that the plat be referred back to the City Council with a recommendation for approval, and further that the park and playground contribution be established at $100 per lot. M. Tudor seconded the motion and it was carried. The meeting was then turned over to Miss Hjort of Micro Cities Project who initiated discussion on how best the micro Cities Project can assist and what can they do. Through considerable discussion, it was determined that the members of the Planning Commission present would like to discuss ways and means of implementing the ideas already presented. A special meeting was set for 11:30 A.M., Monday, November 22, 1971 at the Citizen's Bank at which the Micro Cities representatives agreed to be present with an experienced and knowledgeable person potentially capable of presenting methods of providing impetus for the long range plan for the City. The meeting was declared adjourned at 9:05 P.M.
