08-21-1973 PCM cREGULAR MEETING PLANNING COMMISSION f AUGUST 219 1973 The meeting was called to order at 7:40 P.M. by Vice -Chairman Clinton Tracy. Members present were: Vice -Chairman Clint Tracy, Les Linder, Kay Peterson, Jack Kiland, Marlin Torgerson. Members absent were: Chairman Dave Jensen, and Tom Cone. Also present was Administrative Assistant Mealey. The minutes of the Special Meeting of July 319 1973 were approved as submitted. A request for variance was submitted by Leslie Smith of 346 Monroe Street to permit construction of an addition of his home. According to the Building Code a 2' variance would be needed of the required 15' set -back for a corner lot. It was noted that one home in the area had a projection in line with Mr. Smith's variance. The matter was discussed and it was the concensus that there is no valid objection to granting the variance. Les Linder moved that the Planning Commission recommend approval to the City Council for granting the variance. Marlin Torgerson seconded the motion and it was carried. Ordinance No. 235 (Adopting Subdivision Regulations) and Ordinance 245 (Adopting Zoning Regulations) were considered for review. It was noted that several meetings would be needed to review the ordinances because of the amount of material having to be covered. Clint Tracy moved that the first meeting be scheduled for Tuesday, September 49 at 7:00 P.M. Kay Peterson seconded the motion and it was carried. There being no further business before the Planning Commission, the meeting was declared adjourned at 805 P.M.
