03-19-1974 PCM cREGULAR MEETING PLANNING COMMISSION MARCH 19, 1974 Chairman Jensen called the meeting to order at 7:54 P.M. Members present were: Clint Tracy, Marlin Torgerson, Kay Peterson, and Milt Lueneburg in addition to Chairman Jensen. Members absent were Jack Kiland and Tom Cone. Also present was City Engineer Priebe. The minutes of the regular meeting of February 191 1974 were approved as submitted. Mr. John Korngiebel presented a proposal for the development of "Judson Woods" located on the former Lew Merril farm north of County Road 76. Mr. Korngiebel proposed to build a "community" in a wooded area contained of 40 lots approximately 1 1/2 acres each, with the intention to create a natural environment by blending the homesites into the woods and natural terrain. The drained Judson Lake would be pasture and partially developed into a community recreation area and riding stable. Mr. Korngiebel indicated that the proposal was preliminary and that he would have to contact Acoma Township and the County Planning Commission before it could be presented formally to the Hutchinson City Planning Commission. A lengthy discussion followed. Chairman Jensen reminded there would be election of officers at the next regular Planning Commission meeting which would be held the 16th of April, 1974. Kay Peterson asked how revision of Ordinance No. 235 (Adopting Subdivision Regulations) and revision of Ordinance No. 245 (Adopting Zoning Regulations) were progressing. it was noted that all revisions to date had been mailed to Otto Schmid of Nason, Wehrman, Chapman and Associates and was presently awaiting comment. Chairman Jensen then thanked the members of the Planning Commission for their cooperation in working with them and expressed regret of having to leave. There being no further business to come before the Planning Commission, Chairman Jensen declared the meeting adjourned at 8:55 P.M.
