Commissioners Lyke, Ward and Gilmer were present; Commissioners
Beatty and Cornell were absent; also present were Mgr. Kadrmas
and Counsel Prochnow.
President Lyke called the meeting to order at 12:00 noon.
Don Swanson from Associated Consultants presented recommendation
on bids for furnishing and installing cooling tower for unit #1
(bid tabulation attached). After discussion, a motion was made
by Commissioner Ward, seconded by Commissioner Gilmer to award
the bid to The Marley Cooling Tower Company in the amount of
$559,678. Motion was unanimously carried.
Steve Apfelbacher of Ehlers and Associates, Inc. and Mayor Paul
Ackland and Gary Plotz were present for the opening of the
$14,075,000 public utility revenue bonds, series 1993 bids.
President Lyke opened and read the bids (bid summary sheet
attached). A motion was made by Commissioner Gilmer, seconded
by Commissioner Ward to approve resolution relating to
$14,075,000 public utility revenue bonds, series 1993; authorizing
the Hutchinson City Council to provide for the issuance and sale
thereof (copy attached). Motion was unanimously carried.
Mgr. Kadrmas presented recommendation on quotations for installation
of feeders at Hutchinson Technology, Inc. (quotation tabulation
attached). After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner
Ward, seconded by Commissioner Gilmer to award the quotation for
installation of feeders at Hutchinson Technology, Inc. to Haegele
Underground, Inc. in the amount of $13,120. Motion was unanimously
carried.
Mgr. Kadrmas presented recommendation on quotations for concrete
slab for cold storage:
Louis Dammann & Sons Construction $21,996
Hansen & Vasek Construction $10,640
After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Ward, seconded
by Commissioner Gilmer to award the quotation for concrete slab
to Hanson & Vasek Construction in the amount of $10,640. Motion
was unanimously carried.

Mgr. Kadrmas presented correspondence from Egan & Sons Company
regarding an energy efficiency project for Hutchinson Technical
College. After discussion, the Commission declined the request
from Egan & Sons.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Commissioner
Gilmer, seconded by Commissioner Ward to adjourn the meeting at
1:10 p.m. Motion was unanimously carried.

HUTCHINSON UTILITIES COMMISSION
RESOLUTION RELATING TO $14,075,000 PUBLIC UTILITY
REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 1993; AUTHORIZING THE
HUTCHINSON CITY COUNCIL TO PROVIDE FOR THE
ISSUANCE AND SALE THEREOF
BE IT RESOLVED by the Hutchinson Utilities Commission (the
"Commission ") as follows:
1. Recitals. To finance improvements to the electric generation and
distribution system operated and managed by the Commission it is proposed that
the City of Hutchinson (the "City ") issue its $14,075,000 Public Utility Revenue
Bonds, Series 1993 ( "the `Bonds "), the principal of and interest on which shall be
payable from the net revenues of the electric generation and distribution system and
natural gas system operated and managed by the Commission. The Bonds are to be
issued pursuant to and secured by the covenants and agreements contained in a
resolution to be adopted by the Hutchinson City Council on June 8, 1993, which
resolution is attached hereto and is by reference incorporated herein (the
"Resolution").
2. Authorization and Concurrence. The Commission hereby finds and
determines that the issuance of the Bonds is necessary and in the best interests of the
Commission and authorizes the City to issue the Bonds as provided in the
Resolution, and hereby joins in and adopts the Resolution, including all of the
covenants and agreements therein contained with the same force and effect as if the
Resolution had been adopted by the Commission.
