A motion was made by Commissioner Cornell, seconded by Commissioner Lyke to accept the electric payables in the amount of $1,462,531.63 and gas payables in the amount of $344,208.54 (detailed listing in payables book). Motion was unanimously carried. Mgr. Kadrmas reviewed proposals for accountants for the 1989 audit (summary of proposals attached). After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Beatty, seconded by Commissioner Cornell to accept the proposal from Fawcett, Young & Associates, LTD for an amount between $5,000 - $6,000. Motion was unanimously carried. Mgr. Kadrmas presented 1990 3/4 ton 4x4 pickup specifications. After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Beatty, seconded by Commissioner Richards to accept the specifications, to advertise for bids, to open the bids on January 22, 1990 and to award the bid on January 22, 1990. Motion was unanimously carried. Wally Hombac , Ivan Larson and "Butch" Wentworth were welcomed to the meeting. The three department superintendents updated the Commission o 1989 projects. Mark Flaten, insurance consultant, and Dennis Potter were welcomed to the meeting. Medical insurance renewal notice from Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association was discussed. Mark Flaten presented a self insured insurance plan. After discussion, the Commission decided the employee pay the difference between the new premium and the amount a specified in the union contract for the period of January 1, 1 90 to April 1, 1990. Manager's Report: 1. Regarding the Integrated Transmission Agreement, the closing date has been set for December 27, 1989 at 10:00 a.m, at Hutchinson Utilitie . Commissioners Daggett and Cornell will sign the agreeme /03 19 � 10 V 2. A list of uncollectible accounts was discussed. A motion was made by Commissioner Beatty, seconded by Commissioner Cornell authorizing management to charge -off electric in the amount of $1,157.17 and gas in the amount of $1,746.06, totaling $2,903.23, detailed listing on pages 1495E and 746G of the December general journal. Motion was unanimously carried. 3. Discussed credit card billing system. After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Lyke, seconded by Commissioner Beatty authorizing the purchase of 25 powerstat meters omitting power cards (proposal attached) from CIC Systems, Inc. in the amount of $14,984.00. Motion was unanimously carried. 4. Presented recommendation on electric meter quotations for 1990. Motion was made by Commissioner Beatty, seconded by Commissioner Richards to purchase 384 electric meters from Westinghouse Electric Supply Company in the amount of $11,400.96. Motion was unanimously carried. 5. Discussed Cibola firm gas control for 1990 for 3M. Commissioners Daggett and Cornell will sign the contracts. Old Business: None New Business: Mgr.
