Special Meeting
October 16, 1984
All Commissioners were present, also present were general manager
Rufus Alexander and Ruth Hakel.
President Daggett called the meeting to order at eleven o'clock a.m.
for the purpose of reviewing Judge Magnuson's decision as a result
of the trial of our claims against Curtiss - Wright.
The meeting was turned over to Mgr. Alexander for further information.
(The judgment of May 29, 1984 requires Curtiss- Wright to
pay the sum of $704,406.06 to the Hutchinson Utilities
Commission, also interest on the $704,406.06 to accumulate
at the rate of approximately $231.58 per day from date of
judgment.)
After discussion, it was the concensus of opinion of the Commission
and general manager to go along with the decision which was handed
down.
Mgr. Alexander informed the members that Senator John Bernhagen
would attend the October 29th meeting.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Commissioner
Lyke, seconded by Commissioner Beatty to adjourn at 11:45 a.m.
