February 16, 1979
All Commissioners were present, also Mgr. Alexander and "Butch"
Wentworth.
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m, by President Quade.
The purpose of the meeting was to review the bid tabulation.
After discussion, it was the opinion that all items should be
procured from one source.
Graybar Electric Company $66,462.64
Burmeister Electric Company $65,385.24
Border States Electric Supply $56,117.91
H & C Electric Supply $74,809.09
Okonite Company $55,701.70
United Electric Corporation $45,047.79
The Klass Company $20,128.00
A motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner
Tracy to accept the material bid from Border States Electric Supply
in the amount of $56,117.91 for all items requested which must
meet specifications. The motion carried. Mgr. Alexander was
instructed to have Associated Consultants evaluate the material
specification for a report.
After discussion as to the need for auxiliary power for the Utility
Center, especially in the computer area, a motion was made by
Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy to purchase a
unit capable of serving the purpose. The unit will be procured
by means of quotes. The motion carried.
In other business the Commission directed Mgr. Alexander to have
a third party analyze insurance coverages of Home Insurance Company
concerning certain recent damages suffered by Hutchinson Utilities.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:50 a.m.
