January 12, 1979
All Commissioners were present, also Mgr. Alexander, Ruth
Hakel and Counsel Peterson.
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by President
Quade.
Mgr. Alexander reported on engines #6 and #8. Both units
should be on the line soon.
As a result of a fire at the switchgear building, two technicians
from Harold Scholz Company are installing temporary breaker
equipment. Crews from United Power Association also assisted
in providing service to the community.
Counsel Peterson reported on his interpretation of warranty coverage
on the #9 Curtiss - Wright turbine. Discussion took place concerning
lack of communication with Curtiss - Wright.
Mgr. Alexander was instructed to issue a purchase order to
Curtiss-Wright to allow their personnel to proceed with
repairing #9 turbine, due to breakdown (January 11, 1979).
He also was instructed to employ an expert to observe the
tear down and /or repair of the Rolls Royce engine. This for
the protection of Hutchinson Utilities.
On a motion by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner
Tracy that the meeting be adjourned at 9:50 a.m.
