Regular Meeting March 13, 1978 All Commissioners were present, also Mgr. Alexander and Ruth Hakel. The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P.M. by President Quade. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 13, 1978, were read and approved as read. The minutes of the Special Meeting of February 23, 1978, were read and approved as read. A delegation consisting of Curt Bradford, Emmet McCormick, R. H. Teuber, and Dick Lens appeared concerning a donation toward the givic Arena which is now the property of the City of Hutchinson. They suggested the amount should be $60,000.00. After discussion the Commission decided to work out details of the contribution with the Arena Committee and the City Council, President Quade would be present at such a meeting representing the Hutchinson Utilities Commission. Neil Jensen appeared representing the Chamber of Commerce as the vice - President asking that the Utilities become a member with an assessment of $200 per year. He was informed that the Commission wanted to consult our legal department concerning the membership and would report back to him at a future date. After reading an invitation to attend the annual meeting of United Power Association, it was decided that some one should attend. The mate being March 31, 1978; the place Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Mgr. Alexander stated that HAYTI has requested more gas for a new portion of the school. The matter was discussed and tabled. After reviewing the 3M contract, a motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy to accept the document; sign it properly; send it to 3M officials to effect it by their signatures. Mgr. Alexander made a report on Unit #4 and.#7 and the outage which occured March 9, 1978. After reviewing the statement from Associated Consultants, a motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy to pay the stated amount of $1,475.94. 1 r7 � KE Mgr. Alexander reported on uncollectible accounts. Various ways were discussed. No action was taken.
