Special Meeting.
July 25, 1960.
Note; At the July 25th meeting of the City Council, a motion was
made, seconded and carried to accept the resignation of R. W. Dahl.
Upon the recommendation of the Utilities Commission, motion was
made, by Alderman Falconer, seconded by Alderman Daggett and
unanimously carried that Wallace Kurth be appointed as a member of the
Utilities Commission to complete the unexpired term of R. W. Dahl
as of September 1962.
Motion was made by Commissioner Thompson and seconded by Commissioner
Kurth that the following are the officiers of the Hutchinson Utilities
Commission;
President R. I. Sheppard
V. President A. J. Thompson
Commissioner Wallace Kurth
Motion was made by Commissioner Thompson, seconded by Commissioner
forth and unanimously carried to retain R• W. Dahl as Secretary of the
mmission at a monthly salary of $50.00 per month.
Commissioner Thompson introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION
BE it resolved by the Hutchinson Utilities Commission that it do, and it
hereby does, express to R. W. Dahl, a former commissioner, the
appreciation and gratitude of said Commission for many ,years of loyal,
faithful, and self- sacrificing service as a member of said Commission.
Be it further resolved, that a copy of this resolution be spread on-
the minutes and records of said Commission.
Commissioner Wallace Kurth seconded the foregoing motion and upon roll
call, all members voted unanimously in favor thereof.
The Commission was informed of Ronald Sundlin's immediate resignation- -
effective as of July 20, 1960.

Kurth to affirm.previous employee vacation policy;

Hourly Basis
Any full time hourly worker who has worked continuously for one full
year is entitled to one week's paid vacation.

Monthly Meet ing
August 2, 1960.
The regular meeting of the Utilities Commission was held on August 2,
1960 at the office of Dr. R. I. Sheppard.
All Commissioners were present.
Minutes of the last monthly meeting and special meeting were read
and approved as read.
Motion was made, seconded and carried to hire Clifford Smith, lineman,
at- a starting salary of $365.00 per month.
