Special Meeting.
September 15, 1955.
A special meeting of the Light & Power Commission was held
on September 15, 1955 at the office of Dr. R. I. Sheppard.
All Commissioners were present. Also present at this meeting
were Iviayor Harold Popp, L. A. Winter, Martin Toscan Bennett,
Joseph Casey and Hubert H. Schultz.
Purpose of this meeting was to

Resolution of the City Council under date of November 1, 1954
entered into a contract with Ewell w Wintery consulting, engineers,
Sioux City, Iowa employing them to prepare all engineering
data and exhibits and to present the same before the Federal
Power Commission in Docket No. G -4259 ( now combined with other
Dockets and known as Docket No. G -2399 et a1) vhich contract
was assumed, confirmed and approved by the Utilities Commission
of the City of Hutchinson, Minnesota after the electors of
said City ,.had approved the vesting of authority in said
Utilities Commission to operate a gas distribution system,
and ,
d "hEREAS, it is the opinion of said Utilities
Commission of the City of Hutchinson, Minnesota that it
would be to the best interests of said Commission and said
City and to the prosecution of its intervention in the
Dockets above named before the Federal Power Commission that
Martin Toscan Bennett, Consulting Engineer, of 1627 K Street,
N. W. Washington, D. C. be employed to assist the said Buell
F Winter in the preparation and presentation of the case.

aforenarned Martin Toscan Bennett be and he is hereby em-
ployed, upon the terms heretofore agreed between the
parties, as a consultinE; enEEineer to work with and under the
direction of the said Buell & 'Winter in preparinj and pre -
sen.tinE; enEineerinr data before the Federal Power Commission on
beflalf of said Utilities Cormission in Docket No. G -4259 and Docket
Igo. G -2399 et al.
This Resolution read and offered by Commissioner
Tr_�_ompson who moved its adoption, seconded by Coranissioner Dahl
and unanimously adopted tI'llis 15th day of September, 1955.
