July 12, 1976
All Commissioners were present; also Ruth Hakel and Orville Kuiken.
The meeting was called to order by President Quade at 2 P.M.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 7, 1976, were read and
approved as read.
A motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner
Tracy, and carried, to pay Peterson & Gilmer in the amount of
$247.79 for services in May 1976, and $539.24 for services for
June 1976.
A motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner
Tracy, and carried, to pay Oppenheimer et al in the amount of
$4,783.23 to cover April through June at $1,500.00 per mohth plus
$283.23 out of pocket expense.
A motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner
Tracy, and carried, to pay Paul Lemke and Son in the amount of
$13,239.81 for estimate #2 as recommended by Associated Consultants.
Jon Geiss and his Consul, Neil Jensen, of Hutchinson Industrial
appeared requesting more gas for their future expansion. They were
assured by the Commission that we would attempt to fill their
requirements if possible.
Consul Peterson appeared with notes on Union negotiations which
were accumulated at the meeting of July 7, 1976. The Commission
advised on certain items. The next meeting is scheduled for August 12,
1976.
After considerable discussion concerning two buildings not being
used by the Utilities it was decided to list them with a realtor.
It was agreed that President Quade should contact William Holmquist
and Son concerning the sale of the buildings.
