June 7, 1976
All Commissioners were present; also Ruth Hakel, Roger Gilmer,
Orville Kuiken, and Ivan Larson.
The meeting was called to order by President Quade at 2:00 P.M.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 10, 1976, were read and
approved as read.
Ken Santelman of Country Kitchen appeared with a concern about
charges for services on natural gas appliances. He also felt that
gas refrigeration service should be made available. President
Quade explained that we did not sell appliances and therefore didn't
feel obligated to furnish service.
Roger Gilmer appeared to inform the Commission that the Worthington
Corporation is seeking a Motion for Summary Judgment in Minneapolis,
Minnesota, on June 22, 1976. He and Oppenheimer people will be present.
Orville Kuiken appeared concerning a quotation on a P -60 Vibratory
plow attachment at $4,410.00. It was pointed out that our present
Davis trencher #40 + 4 requires this P -60 plow.
A motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner
Tracy, and carried, to purchase the P -60 Vibratory plow attachment
for the sum of $4,410.00.
Ivan Larson appeared concerning a letter from Associated Consultants
relative to additional "telephone" pairs and associated equipment
for supervisory control of the new Curtiss - Wright turbine unit.
After discussion a motion was made by Commissioner Tracy, seconded by
Commissioner Filk, and carried, to instruct Associated Consultants to
include a transfer trip 12 pair cable supervisory Communication for
Project #75500.
A motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy,
and carried, to allow the following bills:

After a discussion regarding the extended explosion insurance
carried by Madsen Insurance Agency, a motion was made by Com-
missioner Tracy, seconded by Commissioner Filk, and carried,
to cancel it effective.7 -1 -76.
Any Commissioner wishing to attend the annual American Public
Power Association meeting scheduled to take place June 14 -16
at Anaheim, California, and the two -day Seminar scheduled for
6/11 -12/76 will be authorized to attend.
