Monthly Meeting.
The regular monthly meeting of the Light & Power Commission
met on December 6, 1949 at R. I. Sheppard's office. All Commissioners
and Supt. Young were present.
The minutes of the last monthly meeting were read and
approved as read.
The subject of fuel oil was discussed, and it was learned that
Cooper Petroleum Company was offering Miranda City crude fuel oil at
$.102 per gallon, whereas, the lowest offer of Western Oil & Fuel Company
was $.1047 per gallon for the same fuel oil. As it has always been the
policy of the Commission to purchase oil which is satisfactory at the
cheapest possible price, a motion was made by Dr. Thompson and seconded
by R. W. Dahl to purchase Miranda City crude fuel oil from Cooper
Petroleum Company.
Motion was made and unanimously carried to accept the PUblie
Employees Honesty Blanket Position Bond offered by M. J. Higgins,
insurance agent.
Motion was made by R. W. Dahl and seconded by Commissioner
Thompson to change all necessary house services ourselves on houses
where we have to rebuild our distribution system from the street to
the alley.

numbered 126 to 200 inclusive in the amount of $1,000.00 each, and 3 0

payment and redemption on January 1, 1950, and to make said payment rn
it is necessary that the Commission borrow money on a promissory note N

City of Hutchinson borrow from Citizens Bank, Hutchinson, Minnesota the
sum of $45,000.00 on a promissory note bearing 2% interest, and pledge
to the payment of said note $45,000.00 of pledge orders, series of
1945, with the right in this Commission to make payment and redemption
of said pledge orders at any time to the date of maturity of said note,
and that the President and Secretary of this Commission be, and they
hereby are, authorized to execute said promissory note to Citizens Bank,
Hutchinson, Minnesota.'
Member Dahl seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution,
and upon vote being taken all members voted in favor thereof and no
member voted against said resolution and the resolution was declared
unanimously adopted.
