Special Meeting
June 24, 1966.
At the special meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission on
June 24, 1966, after having interviewed representatives of Pfeifer
& Schultz, Inc. of 270 South Plaza Building, Minneapolis, Minnsota
55416, and Associated Consultants, Registered Professional Engineers,
420 Sexton Building, Minneapolis 15, Minnesota, and after having
visited various municipal plants for which these firms had done
engineering, a Motion was made by Commissioner Clinton Tracy, duly
seconded and unanimously carried to employ Pfeifer and Schultz, Inc.
to furnish the engineering; services necessary in the planning, bidding,
installing and accepting of additional power and electrical energy
producing facilities. These facilities are to provide the necessary
increase in capacity for the electric utility plant to take care of the
increased demand that will be required by Minnesota Mining & Manufactur-
ing Company and the increase in population and additional requirements
for electrical energy in the area of Hutchinson serviced by the
Hutchinson Utilities Commission. Pfeifer & Schultz, Inc. are to
furnish all engineering services on the basis of a cost plus fixed fee
arrangement which cannot exceed in total more than 5 ?% of the lower
of the estimated total cost of the project or the actual total cost
of the project. The Chairman and Secretary of the Commission are
hereby authorized and directed to execute the documents necessary to
engage the services of Pfeifer & Schultz, Inc. and to execute the
Contracts and other documents required thereby.
