04-08-1968 HUCM106. Mr. Wardlow brought up the matter of the additional 69KV inter- connection facilities to be covered by an agreement with the Rural Cooperative Power Association. The matter of whether or not this Commission shall make payment f or certain of the facilities was discussed but no definite conclusion was reached. The Associated Consultants then stated that notice for the taking of bids on Project 68273 should be prepared and these bids should be received in the month of May. Member H. W. Filk moved that the regular meeting of the Commission be postponed from the second Monday in May, 1968, to May 15, 1968 at 3 P. M. This motion was seconded by Member Clinton Tracy, and upon vote being taken all -voted in favor thereof and the motion was declared unanimously carried. Member H. W. Filk moved that the notice for the taking of bids on Project 68273 be published in The Hutchinson Leader .April 12th and April 19th and in Midwest Construction Bulletion, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and that said bids be opened on Wednesday, May 15, 1968, at 3 P. M. at the main office of this Commission in the City of Hutchinson, Minnesota. This motion was duly seconded by Member Clinton Tracy and upon vote being taken all voted in favor of said motion and no one voted in opposition thereto and said motion was declared unanimously adopted. The Secretary stated that it appeared to be for the best interests of the Commission that an Assistant Secretary be appointed, to be available to carry out the duties of Secretary in the absence of the Secretary; upon motion duly made by H. W. Filk and seconded by Clinton Tracy, it was unanimously voted to elect Ruth Hakel, Assistant Secretar�T of Hutchinson Utilities Commission and granting to her all the rights and powers and duties of the Secretary in the absence of the Secretary. Member Filk moved to have the Secretary invest any surplus funds .in Federal Securities, motion was seconded by Member Tracy and unanimously carried. Regular Meeting. The President, H. P. Quade, called the Secretary, R. E. Young, meeting to order, and the stated that all members, namely, Clinton Tracy and H. W. Filk, were present and participating in the meeting and in addition W. E. Reyerson, Attorney for the Commission and Carl Wardlow of Associated Consultants.; also David Schmidt. Motion was unanimously carried. ATTEST W e y.f. Aprij- J-6, 1968. Special Meeting. As Special Meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was held at three o1clock P. M. on April 16, 1968 at the Billing Office. All Commissioners were present. The President informed the members that a request from the City Council was received for a portion of the pledged amount for the year 1968 -1969. The request was discussed and Commissioner Tracy moved that 10,000.00 be contributed to the General Fund of the City of Hutcl:,.inson and if the Municipal Electric Plant needed additional funds, a transfer of money could be made from the Natural Gas Division. Commissioner Filk seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously carried. There being no further business, motion was made by Commissioner Filk and seconded by Commissioner Tracy to adjourn the meeting. Motion was unanimously carried. Ru akel, Asstt. ec'7.
