Regular Meeting
December 12, 1968.
The monthly meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was
held on December 12, 1968 at three o'clock in the Hutchinson
Utilities Billing Office.
All Commissioners were present; also W. E. Reyerson, attorney.
The meeting was called to order by the President and the minutes
of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
Gas
Correspondence was received on November 7, 1968 from Minnesota
Mining & Manufacturing Company requesting a reduction in their
demand.
Motion was made by Commissioner Tracy and seconded by Commissioner
Filk to give favorable consideration to their request to cancel
the demand rate of 1250 MCF per day beginning February 1, 1969
provided that Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Company agrees to
reinstatement of the original terms of their contract in paragraph
2 that the daily demand rate would be 1000 MCF through October,
1969. Motion was unanimously carried.
The Commission instructed the
Secretary
to advise Minnesota Mining
& Manufacturing Company of this
agreement and, also,
requested
confirmation of the same.
Supt. Kuiken was instructed to
secure gas rates from
other
cities where a special rate is
used for
gas air conditioning.

Tracy to sell three old regulators (previously removed from the
Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing line) to Burmeister Electric
Company. These are to be billed at $200.00 each. (Obsolete
material) Motion was unanimously carried.
Motion was made by Commissioner Tracy and seconded by Commissioner
Filk to contribute $25,000.00 to the General Fund of the City of
Hutchinson. Motion was unanimously carried.
