a. Olson submitted a grant request for the tractor & snow equipment, which is eligible for FAA grant.
b. Olson submitted a grant request for the rotary cutterm which is eligible for MnDOT grant.
b) CIP review. Kevin Carlson from Bolton & Menk met with Olson 07/10/12 to review pavement conditions
and discuss CIP issues. Based on that meeting, Kevin will be sending a list of proposed projects to consider
including on the CIP. At an upcoming meeting this fall, hopefully in September, the Commission can discuss
the list, prioritize the projects, and add anything else that may have been missed.
5. Other Discussions/ New Business
a) LED lighting — Olson will be submitting a purchase order for doing interior hangar lighting and parking lot
lights. These fixtures will be retrofit with LEDs. The approximate cost for materials, based on a quotation
received earlier this year is listed below. Labor is not included in this estimate, and depending on the labor
amount, City staff could potentially install the lights.
Cobra head — parking lot $ 299
Interior lights — hangars $1,008
250 HPS fixtures — parking lot $1,495
Tax $ 193
Total $2,995
b) Water system upgrade. A new pressure tank w/ VFD was installed earlier and is working properly. This
install will save us money over time.
c) Other items:
Ag lease — land on west side of runway is up for lease in 2012. Staff is working with the City's
Wastewater department to get appropriate crop rotation prior to planting alfalfa.
At 6:15, a motion to adjourn was made by Peterson, second by Schwarze. Unanimous approval.
