The board also discussed the "Find the Biggest Tree Contest" plaque and
decided to utilize the 3M donated dollars to make the plaque a bronze one
mounted on Red Cedar donated by Deanne Dietel.
Trees in Subdivisions / Required or Not?
Schnobrich presented a draft outlining the proposed requirement for trees to
be planted in new subdivisions.[ see enclosed drafts ] The board reviewed the
drafts and decided to propose draft #2 which included the soil amendment
requirement.
The board also felt that dollars collected from the developers should be at
time other fees are collected, such as park dedication, etc.
The board had a number of questions about the development such as what
percent of the land costs would the tree requirements result in.
These proposals will be forwarded to Planning and Zoning for their input
The Meeting was adjourned at 6:45 pm.
