MINUTES
Members present: Dave Skaar, Chuck Brill, Doug McGraw, Doug Kephart, Jeff Lux

Meeting called to order at 5:27 p.m. There was a quorum of members present
L. Approve Minutes of March 23, 2004 meeting
Motion made by Kephart, second by Brill to approve March 23, 2004 minutes with corrections. Unanimous
approval.
Z. Proposed Improvement Projects Update
1) Olson invited AAC members to the pre - construction conference with contractors regarding the NavAid
Service Roadway, Apron expansion, and electrical work. Contractor for the project is Duininck Bros., Inc.
Subcontractors are Juul Contracting for excavation and Quade Electric for electrical. The pre - construction
conference will be held July 21, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in the airport lobby.
2) As part of the project, excavation will be made to find and repair tile line from pond on the northeast corner
of airport property, under the runway /taxiway into ditch on west property line. Airport staff has traced the
line starting from the west, east to a point under the taxiway just south of taxiway C.
3. Request for Private Hangars:
Commission members reviewed a request by Tim Miller, Hutchinson to erect a private hangar
Commission members reviewed a request by RAM Buildings, Winsted to erect a private hangar
Commission members review planned development for commercial - grade hangars & for general aviation
hangars and the related lease documents.
A motion was made by Lux, second by Brill allowing Miller to build a private hangar on the first lot of
general aviation hangar area and for RAM Buildings to build a private hangar on the second lot of the
general aviation hangar area. Unanimous approval.
4. Other Business
1. Electricity Charges. The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) installed a pitched roof on their building this spring.
CAP will receive a credit for electricity charges up to the full amount of their cost for the roof to be
installed. CAP needs to provide us with a material listing and cost. Olson will be attending the July
27 City Council meeting. It would be good have the memo done in time for that meeting.
2. Commissioners Listing. Commissioners updated the Airport Commission list.

At 6:36 p.m., a motion to adjourn was made by Brill, second by Lux. Unanimous approval.
The next Airport Advisory Commission Meeting will be held upon receipt of plans submitted for construction
of private hangars.
