with a second from Connie. The motion passed.
III. Monthly Sales Review: There was no review for January.
IV. Old Business
A. Book & Puzzle Sale- Jenny reported that hosting a book and puzzle sale in
October will not work this year due to other reservations already on the books.
She felt the last week in August would be the best time at this point. The board
discussed cutting the sale down from three days to two since the third day was
th
very slow. The group came to the conclusion that a two-day sale on August 29
th
and 30 would work out well.
VI. Business
A. Senior Center Tours- Rhonda, who was on the trip to Cold Spring to visit their
famous bakery and watch a Branson type show said that she enjoyed it very
much and would participate again if they offered it. Julie reported that February
th
14 will bring a trip to Bloomington for lunch and a performance of love songs
at the Ives Auditorium. The trip currently has 28 people registered. A group
th
will visit the Chanhassen Dinner Theater on March 16 to see “Footloose” and
th
currently has 27 registered. April 14 we will travel to the Old Log Theater for
a show featuring Jimmy Buffet music. Julie asked the board about interest in
another St. Paul Saints game this summer and got an enthusiastic response.
B. Update on Programs- The movie for January was “Respect” and dealt with the
life of Aretha Franklin. The movie was presented at 10:00am and 1:00pm. The
exercise program SAIL is operating again with the numbers slightly down due
to concerns with Covid. A sock knitting class is among the activities coming up
at the Senior Center.
C. Board Elections- A motion was put forward to elect Rhonda Schwarze
chairperson for the coming year. After she accepted the nomination the board
unanimously approved. Then a motion was made to make Dave Husfeldt the
vice-chair. After he accepted the board also unanimously approved his
appointment. John McRaith agreed to continue on as secretary.

future of the Event Center. The board expects to see good numbers to come out
for this informational meeting.
