Monthly Sales Review: September reported that card sales totaled $34.20 with all of those sales at the Event Center. Button sales, dish cloths, frames and a knitted scarf brought in another $35. The Center also received $16.90 in donations. IV. Old Business A. Flag Pole- Donor pledges and the fundraiser surpassed the amount needed to purchase and install the flag pole at the Event Center. The extra funds will be used to have a plaque installed next to the flag pole. In the event that the Senior Center is moved, the flag pole and plaque will be moved to the new location also. The installer hopes to put in the foundation soon to avoid the cold weather. VI. Business A. Senior Center Tours- Julie reported that the trip to see the Chanhassen Dinner Theater’s rendition of “The Music Man” turned out very well. Coming up will be a November tour to watch the University of Minnesota Marching Band perform and a December outing to Orchestra Hall for a holiday concert which th will include a stop at Olive Garden. On January 20 a group will head to Cold Spring to visit their famous bakery and watch a Branson type show at the Event th Center. February 14 will bring a trip to Bloomington for lunch and a performance of love songs at a local theater. We will revisit the Chanhassen th Dinner Theater on March 16 to see “Footloose.” B. Mini Golf Equipment- September asked the board for their opinion on selling the mini golf course that was built by seniors a couple years ago. The biggest issue is the storage of the course. The board was fine with allowing it to be sold with the hope of raising $500 from the sale. C. Book/Puzzle Fundraiser- The book and puzzle sale went over very well. The total sales were $1009 with a net of $868 after expenses. Al made a motion that any leftover funds from the sale be used to purchase supplies for the Senior Center. Rhonda seconded the motion and it was approved. Another sale will likely happen in the future and September suggested we have more volunteers and extra checkouts. D. Other Items- We are in need of new board members as several are in their final terms. Nominations should be presented at the November meeting. We would also like to place a senior on the Park Board.
