Senior Center T-Shirt- September presented a few options for a t-shirt design promoting the Senior Center. Discussion followed about colors and whether seniors would be interested in purchasing something like this. Senior Center Tours- Julie presented a little recap of the tour program which she began volunteering for back in the year 2000. In the twenty years since, the tours program has raised over $19,000 while keeping fees much lower than any other entity providing tours. She added that tours will begin again in August with a trip to Lake Minnetonka for a boat ride and will include a stop at some flower gardens in Orono. The St. Paul Saints will be the focus for a September th tour and October 15 will be the rescheduled trip to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater to see their rendition of “The Music Man.” B. Program Updates- September reported that the Center is hosting a knitting workshop on Monday afternoons. Mike Becker has agreed to teach a group the rules to the card game Sheephead. Book clubs are up and running and bingo is happening on Fridays in the large meeting room.
