02-22-2021 SAM Senior Advisory Board Minutes February 22, 2021 Present: Kay Yoch, Al Barkeim, Connie Dahl, Mike Becker, Jeannette Meyer, Rhonda Schwarze City Staff: September Jacobsen, Jenni Behrendt, John McRaith Absent: Dave Husfeldt I. The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Chair Kay Yoch. II. Secretary’s Report: None III. Treasurer Report: The board reviewed all the different fundraisers from 2020 and also took a look at total fundraising in each area since 2004. IV. Old Business- None V. Business A. Senior Center Tours- September reported that our next planned trip will be to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater in October for a matinee showing of “The Music Man.” Depending on Covid restrictions we hope to put together some earlier tours also. One possibility would be a St. Paul Saints baseball game. B. Board Member Terms- The board was updated on current terms for each member. Kay will complete her second term at the conclusion of this year. Mike and Rhonda agreed to begin their second three-year terms. Dave and Connie are in the second year of their first terms and Al is completing his first term. Jeannette is in the second year of her second term. C. Election of Officers- Kay agreed to stay on as chairperson and Rhonda agreed to stay on as vice chair. John McRaith will continue as secretary and the treasurer position has become obsolete. D. Programming- September reported that card playing and bingo have begun again at the Center. The Center is still accepting eye glasses and cards. The movie for February is “War with Grandpa” and the March movie will be “The Last Word.” VI. Adjournment: Mike made a motion to adjourn at 11:15 am with a second from Connie. The motion passed. The next scheduled meeting of the Senior Advisory Board will be Monday, March 22 at 10:00 a.m. John McRaith, Secretary
