11-27-2019 HUCMMINUTES Regular Meeting — Hutchinson Utilities Commission Wednesday, November 27, 2019 Call to order — 3:00 p.m. President Don Martinez cal�led the meeting to order. Members present: President Doin Martinez; Vice President Matt Cheney; Secretary Robert Wendorff; Commissioner Monty Morrow; Commissioner Anthony Hanson; GM Jeremy Ca,rter; Marc Sebora Conflict of Interest 2. Approve Consent Agenda a, Approve Minutes b. Ratify Payment of Bills Motion by Commissioner Hanson, second by Commissioner Morrow to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion carried unanimously. 3. Approve Financial Statements Mr. Martig presented the Financial Statements. Salaries have now been aillocated from System Control to Natural Gas and Electric departments. Motion by Commissioner Cheney, second by Commissioner Wendorff to approve the financial statements. Motion carried unanimously. 5. Communication a. City Administrator — Matthew Jaunich — i. Finalizing budgets b. Divisions, i, Dan Lang, Engineering Services Manager — Absent ii. Dave Hunstad, Electric T'ransmiss ion/Distribution Manager — 1. Working on temporary transformer. 2, Wrapping up projects. iii. Randy Blake, Production Manager — 1, New engines are officially HUIC"s. 2. Working on CAT punch list. The engines need to reach 1000 operating hours before the oiil consumption guaranty tests can be performed by CAT. 3. Working on year-end projects. Commissioner Hanson! inqiui'red about the engines and' the overall process. Mr. Blake stated that CAT has a lot of work on tht management side to do. Overall, the engines are a good product; downside is that parts are mopenisive.
